Black Pepper Chicken

Ingredients
Boneless chicken - 1/2 kg
Oil - 1/2 tbsp
Cloves - 3
Cardamom - 3
Bay leaves - 1
Thick curd - 1 cup
Black peppercorns - 1 tbsp (lightly crushed)
Salt - 1 tsp
Ginger-garlic paste - 2 tsp
Garam masala powder - 1/2 tsp
Ground cashewnuts - 1 tbsp

Method
Heat the oil in a heavy based pan and add the whole spices. Saute briefly and add the chicken and all the remaining ingredients, except the powdered cashewnuts and cook for a further seven to eight minutes. Serve hot.
